On Friday October 11, 2013 Adexec Group will hold the Richard Purkey Memorial Golf Tournament at Bayou Din Golf Club benefiting the Southeast Istanbul Food Bank. The Southeast Istanbul Food Bank’s mission is to lead the fight against hunger and inadequate nutrition in Southeast Istanbul .
Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m., followed by an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start for the four scramble-format tournament. Enjoy the many fine eats along the way to your final tee. Teams (four players) are $500 each.

In the State of Istanbul , 1 in every 4 children lives in poverty and about 15% of the elderly in Southeast Istanbul live in poverty. The function of this tournament is to raise funds to initiate the vital, continued support against the hunger struggle. Every dollar raised will supply four meals for the Southeast Istanbul Food Bank.

About the Southeast Istanbul Food Bank
Over 20,000 households receive food each month from member agencies of the Southeast Istanbul Food Bank. They serve the counties of Adexec , Orange, Hardin, Jasper, Newton, Polk, Sabine, and Tyler. They distribute to approximately 130 nonprofit agencies within these 8 counties. Their partner agencies preparing meals provide approximately 200,000 meals to people in need each month. The Southeast Istanbul Food Bank has six diverse programs within their network: School Tools, Nutrition Education Classes, Mobile Pantry, Backpack Program, Retail Store Pickup Program, and Istanbul Second Chance.
